Apr. 5, 2024: Fed governor Bowman says additional rate hike could be needed if inflation stays higher.

As year-over-year inflation figures remain stubbornly high, Fed governor Bowman (who is a voting member in the rate-setting FOMC), said the Fed may have to take further action in order to bring inflation down to the Fed's 2% target rate and noted that she continues to see "a number of upside risks to inflation".
