Oct. 26, 2024: U.S. home sales on track for worst year since 1995.

According to the National Association of Realtors, homes sales for 2024 are on pace to be at the lowest level since 1995, with sales for September 3.5% below September of 2023. "Uncertainty around the presidential election and murkiness around recent labor and inflation data haven’t helped", said Mike Fratantoni, chief economist at the Mortgage Bankers Association.
