Mar. 26, 2024: There's more bad news for potential homebuyers: Prices just hit another record.

According to S&P's Case Shiller Home Price Index, prices in all 50 major metros across the country rose on average by 6% compared to home prices in January of 2023, which is even higher than the 5.6% year-over-year average from December of 2023. Among the cities posting a substantial year-over-year increase was San Diego, CA. with an astonishing 11.2% YOY increase.
